• Rachel Redfern, I Miss You

    small daily paintings

one of my greatest challenges is embedding art into the everyday. My practice is shaped by periods of frenetic deadline-based painting and the act of contemplative daily painting. Each piece is unique, shaped by my daily interaction with nature.

    the artist

Based in the Hampshire countryside in UK. Rachel’s artwork is varied and instinctive. Working with oils in her Haslemere studio she draws on photographs, sketches and memories based on her time in nature and the impact of seasons on her daily life. Summers spent on the beaches in West Sussex and Cornwall, Spring working on restoring her garden originally designed by the talented Gertrude Jekyll and the Autumn and Winter sky watching weather as it passes over the South Downs.
